From the 12th to the 25th of November 2007, a group of dancers and choreographers from Asia and Europe traveled together from Beijing to Guizhou province in the south west of China to celebrate the New Year with the Miao people. Returning to Beijing the group worked together for five days, exchanging methods and experiences with the goal of creating a final presentation and performance.
The chopstick diaries is a daily narrative of the trip as I experienced it. The blog can be read chronologically by starting with the first entry (see archive) or by working backwards from the last days to the first as it is presented here. Though it is personal, I tried to reflect the events that affected us all, weaving through it bits and pieces of my own encounters and interests.
I hope it will be a useful memory for those who traveled with me, and an interesting read for anyone else.

Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this blog. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's tough to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appearance.
